Topic: Open Notepad++ as default editor

So I am currently using notepad++ as I find that it is more up-to-date,
and holds more user friendly features. One problem: Everytime I open
up my script, it opens SCITE by default. Is there a way I could change
this so I don't have to open up Notepad++ everytime I need to edit my
script?

Re: Open Notepad++ as default editor

If you are using Windows, you should be able to associate .lua files with notepad++ by right-clicking a .lua file and going to properties and then to "Change" next to "Opens with" and choosing the notepad++ exe file.

Re: Open Notepad++ as default editor

In NotePad++:
Menu: Settings > Preferences > File Association > public script > .lua > click on '->' button
That's it.
