Topic: Just stop by.

Hi maratis dev guys!

I just googled 'libnpk' and discovered this forum. It's very pleasure to know that Maratis3D uses npk for file packaging.
And I want to contribute somewhat could be helpful for this project: feel free to submit a new issue / suggestion on http://code.google.com/p/npk/issues/list .

Thanks.

Re: Just stop by.

Hi, yes I wanted to send you a mail to thank you for libnpk, it's a very good lib, it was very pleasant to implement,
we are close to finish the packaging system, there is just one thing missing about the level files (the working files are xml but it need to be a binary for the final packing inside npk).

Nistur implemented a virtual context to manage files to be able to use npk or stdlib with the same interface :
http://code.google.com/p/maratis/source … gerNPK.cpp
(plus the parent code inside MCore)

svn is on google code if you want to have a look :

Thank you
Anaël.

Re: Just stop by.

lqez: Great to hear from you. NPK has been a pleasure to work with. I've yet to find any issues with it. I would request that maybe there could be a little more documentation wink (as with everything) If there's any way I could help with that, I can try smile I don't pretend to know how libnpk works inside out, but I can do my best smile

Re: Just stop by.

Sorry for lack of documentation. neutral  I'll add up API reference, information of npk file format with more usage examples.
Thank you 'Marateers', have a good day.

Re: Just stop by.

Hey, I wasn't complaining! I think libnpk is clear enough to use as it is smile I managed to use it and I'm definitely no genius tongue you just asked for suggestions and it was the only one I could think of smile I'm sorry if I sounded too negative. I'm always very cautious about using external libraries as they very often enforce a particular code design which the author(s) envision as being the best way. It almost always ends up causing design conflicts. I didn't have any problems like this with libnpk, so it is now on my (very short) list of nice libraries smile

Re: Just stop by.

OMG, I'm very embarrassing now - I always thought I have to write down more document for libnpk. Because I'm not a native english speaker, I gave you a different nuance to you - I didn't mean it. So sorry for that. big_smile
