Topic: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

Sometimes when I post my content is cut out at more or less the half.
So I have to go back in previous pages and Firefox is friendly enough to give me back my text.
Then I go forward and I edit my post and hopefully this time it doesn't get cut.

I'm the only one having this problem?
Can this be corrected? It can get very annoying.

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

I think it happen to everyone, personnaly to avoid it i just write

[/url]

at the end of the post, then submit, an error will popup, then remove

[/url]

and post again. then it doesn't get cut .. that's not a perfect solution though hmm

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

Unfortunately it happens all the time, and furthermore the spam detection requires clicking (doesn't support enter key).
Copy/paste is your best friend for this...

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

So maybe with Chrome it doesn't happen?
Vegas, com3D, VeganDev, do you use Firefox?

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

Me yes, i'm on Firefox. note it's also doing it with Opera 12.16
(i dont know about newer versions, but since Opera 15 is now based on chrome, *maybe* it works)

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

It happened to me several times. I use Chrome also.

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

I'm using Firefox and sometimes IE, both cause trouble.

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

Another thing that happens to me is that threads are automatically set to "read" even when I've not actually read them. To avoid this I have to open a tab for every forum which has new posts and then read them one at a time, otherwise going back and forth will make all the "blue squares" disappear.
Maybe the board needs an update?

I , and both my friends now ( who  used to use firefox), all use IE.

I've never had any of the issues you here, seem to be alluding to, and I can't think of any other issues to relay that might help out, sorry.

Re: [FORUM problem] Posts getting cut

Its a problem with the PunBB software used for the forums and not our Browsers. The wiki is having its own kind of issues also. I find If I visit the forum regularly it doesn't happen but if I don't check the forum for awhile and try to make a semi long post it gets cut off.

It might be an issue with how cookies are being handled by the forum.

The wiki issue is it stopped recording the history of edits made to the wiki.

I experienced that too,
when I get some time I'll see if I can update PunBB.
