Re: my project for the competition

Hi ant0n! Are all of the videos on your YouTube channel made with Maratis? Or do you use another engine also?

Re: my project for the competition

Re: my project for the competition

Nice, have you considered using animated textures for the hit effect ? i can provide you some if you wish

Re: my project for the competition

thank you! would be great... but I don't know how to use animated textures in Maratis. sad

Re: my project for the competition

Here's a small project with some explosion anims, sorry, most are pretty
low quality + not enough frames to look good but it should be enough to get the picture.
I was planning to build up a collection as i have found better tools now, tell me how it's going wink

Re: my project for the competition

Nice! I knew once some real programers (unlike myself) make a full project with Maratis it can be shown off more.

I'm working on level design and animation right now.

Good job! Looks interesting to play also. I'd like to know how you did your UI elements, it looks like you used material animation for the stars, a loop go the score talley, and text object for tool tips.

Re: my project for the competition

Thank you!

Everything is very simple. The star has two sides, I just flip it at the right time smile . And all the UI elements is just plane with textures. The text attached to the cursor appears in the right time.

Re: my project for the competition

the game is almost ready! http://youtu.be/vOrpkTKV1K8

Re: my project for the competition

Getting better and better, great work wink

Re: my project for the competition

Yeah, nice game! Tomorrow I am going to work on getting a good animated character (idle and walking animation, perhaps transition) into Maratis to use as a test person for my game levels. I already have the code in the Soldier in St. Petersburg level, I just need better animation. We will see.

Re: my project for the competition

I think there is an issue with placing the ship on the bottom row (using Windows 8 on a PC). I tried to place the ship, but I couldn't, after a while I couldn't place it on any row. Thanks for uploading the source so I can see how you did this! And it looks nice!
