That certainly is strange. I assume that you have updated your graphics driver to then. I will have to think on this one a bit. I'm sure we will find the answer.

That's ok, You will be there in no time. Blender takes some getting used to but once you do you'll do fine.

Topic: Yet more questions (1 replies, posted in General)
The project I am working on has different teams, with similar uniforms. So first question is does maratis have a way of switching the hew of textures on a 3d model? The second question is: is there a decal type system in maratis?
Thanks so much for all of the help I have received so far on these forums it is proving to make the move to maratis an enjoyable one.

So with further testing it does the color right when exported without normal maps. Add normal maps and it gets that purple hue. I'm narrowing it down. sooner or later I'll get it.
UPDATE: Ok, I knew it was something simple and it was. All I needed to do was switch from fixed to standard render in Maratis. Man it's a good thing I am comfortable with my stupid moments. Because I seem to have them more and more. =-D

Ok, I just tried that but it didn't work. I know it must be something simple and that's what gets me. It also doesn't help that I am not used to blender.
Thank you for trying.

Ok so i have this model and I exported it with blender. here is what it looks like rendered in Blender
In Blender
but in maratis this is how it looks
In Maratis
I am sure I have something set up wrong. All I have is a mesh, a texture, and normal map. If someone could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Well it worked. My character isn't textured yet. But at least I can see generally how it will look. Thanks again for the help.

So this is a two part post. The first part being a question. I have a model in obj format that i have converted with blender. In the editor I load it and there is a place marker for it, but no model can be seen. So anyone that may be able to help me I would greatly appreciate it.
The second part is i found something called mvMotionAi it is open source C++/Lua Steering Behaviours Library I just thought it might be able to help some people out here.
It can be found at http://mvmotionai.sourceforge.net/

Re: Making a game (5 replies, posted in General)
I do know how to do some 3d with blender, and 3d max. It's more that right now I would rather focus on coding. I hate making menu's in general. It is very hard for me sense I am colorblind like a dog. However I do have a friend that will do it for me. I'm also a bit impatient, and I won't see my friend for a few days. It's not a bad thing, Just an other obstacle to overcome. For me it is a lesson in patients. All will be well though.
Thanks for the replies all It is nice to have a group that doesn't mind answering some questions. I am sure i will have more.

I am making a sports game, that will use several 2d menu's. I was wondering if anyone has found any good tools for making menu's. Or am I stuck trying to make them in a 3d prog?

Topic: Some questions on models (2 replies, posted in General)
So I am new to Maratis. I have a few questions.
does the mesh have to be triangulated before i give it to maratis. or does the system do that its self
and does it autosmooth the normal edges
or should i set up smoothing groups in 3dsmax.
Hope you can help me out here thanks
