Dear Maratis Enthusiasts,

I have developed a Lift but not sure how one would code this.  I assume you would use a Trigger box???

Herein is the file link:

Hi All,

Blender very easily enables one to embed a video into entity.  I wonder if there is any scope or capacity to do this and import into Maratis?

Many thanks.

This programme does not work on my Toshiba laptop running Windows 7  - 64 bit!

Message comes up when running:  Missing MSVCP100D.dll.

So I downloaded it tried to run following putting this file into the Neo 1.1 main directory,  Still did not work!  So put into the Windows/System32  directory.

Still does not work!!  :-(

Problem:  Gravity issue - character falls throught the floor on Play!

Question:  Do I add Physics to the entity: character, or the entity: floor??  Can someone advice what needs to be configured in the Properties window to achieve stability?

many thanks for your time.

Dear Maratis enthusiasts,

I have created a door in a wall separating to another room.  It has two entities: 1.  the room/wall, and 2. a door.

The door has been created to pivot on the end, like any normal door.

Problem:  How should the door open??  I thought it might be best to use a trigger (box)?, like the earlier trigger sound experiment.

Other suggestions are welcome.

I herein enclose a link to the 7z experimental Project file:

Play around and do share your ideas.

many kind thanks for time.

This email request follow a Sound trigger set up by antOn who helped me organse sounds as one passed a different space.

I have some question about setting up a Trigger.  I understand how to create a box and then make it invisible, but I cannot understand how you name it Trigger 1, Trigger 2 etc.  so that it appears in the Objects List?

That was the idea!  Glad you liked it Tutorial Doctor.

Thanks antOn, and Tutorial Doctor,

antOn, i had never thought about using a trigger to initiate a sound for a given area!  Quite clever way of approaching it.  I looked at the Lua code in the attached JPEG, and it all seems to make sense.  However, I have been unsuccessful in downloading the example file.  I have sent you a request to have access to it.  My email is fruit*****@gmail.com  I very much look forward to trying it out.

Many kind thanks for your efforts!

Hi Guys,

I decided I wanted to make an easy reference chart showing various alternative lamp colours, in PDF.

Enjoy!

Hi guys,

I tried to make three spaces with three different sounds so that as you moved in you would hear an new sound unfortunately when you start play, all three sounds play at once.

I have attached the Project file, hoping someone might have a go at configuring all and re-posting to show how this can be  done.

Here's hoping!  :-)

Hi All,

I put in a small sound file in .WAV format into the Maratis sound (/sound) directory.  I then added the sound icon into the 3D space near my camera.  However, when I Publish, and play the game, there is no sound???  Any suggestion as to what I'm doing wrong?

Also can one make:

1. Music ambient sound

2.  Localised close by sounds

Many thanks for your time.

Thanks!  That's great news!  I have played around with many of the 3D game engines and each one has been a major disappoint to me.  I did a recent search for something new, and Maratis came up, and I thought it might be worthy of a try.  Straight away I was impressed by it's simplicity!

In terms of background I am a Landscape Architect and urban designer based normally in the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi).  I'm looking for a very simple engine that I can give to a client and say:  "go for a spin and tell me if we are on the right track!"

I'm not quite ready to do any postings, but I hope to share when I have learnt more of the fundamentals to build all.

I really think you have something very special here.  It would be sad to see it flounder!  Just try and provide water into the equation, since I will have a hard time to convince clients without some type of water feature (lakes, ponds etc) element.
I'm assuming with the particles it is theoretically possible, but I have yet to see an example on the forums.  (If I'm missing something here, please direct me to the right place).

Many kind thanks for your efforts.  I will check out the SVN.

Thank you soo much!!!!!
